I saw The Last Samurai on opening day, and from the previews I wasn't too excited to see it.
But by the end of the movie, I was thinking this movie was sure to be win an Academy Award.
There was not one part of the movie that I enjoyed.
This is probably the best movie I've seen in recent years.

I only hope that The Last Samurai can ride its positive audience reaction to stellar box office returns. It deserves as such.

Sorry I thought this movie sucked. The ending was completely unbelievable. A movie moment for Cruise that's all!

the only thing this movie accomplished is make tom cruise feel better about himself. i could barely stand to watch cruise brood over his life, and nearly laughed out loud during the lame voice-overs. besides cruise's terribly predictable transformation all of the characters are so flat. and the action never climaxes past the early scene in which he makes a young soldier shoot at him. good try tom cruise, but you are no mel gibson or russell crowe.
