You state that Hugh Grant became a main fixture in the romantic comedy genre with Notting Hill, but it was actually Four Weddings and a Funeral that established him as a bonafied romantic leading man.

It is my belief that 'Notting Hill' is the film that further confirmed his status as a romantic leading man. His pairing with Julia Roberts drew audiences in in a film more 'American' than 'Four Weddings and a Funeral.'
